Artisanal Products for Christmas at Lolli-popup in Edinburgh

You know the difference between shopping with a huge retailer and an independent designer? When an order pops in for one of the big boys, everyone carries on as normal.

But when an order comes in to a business like mine, it causes dancing and delight. It makes me so grateful and so glad that I get to make beautiful things from beautiful materials that mean something to other people. It literally puts the clothes on my children’s backs and the food on our table.

That’s the difference it makes when you choose to shop small.

If you’re around Edinburgh over the next couple of weekends there’s an amazing opportunity coming up to support the local maker’s community at a pop-up event called Lolli-popup.

You’ll find over 20 different makers and gifts ranging from luxurious printed scarves to ethical wooden lighting to vibrant, illustrated prints. It’s basically everything you need to get your Christmas shopping done in one fell swoop!

I’m really looking forward to taking part and keeping such great company amongst these other businesses. I’ll be offering a huge 50% off my end of line pieces so it’s a chance to snap up some real bargains too.

The event is going to be held at White Stuff on George Street and if you’d like to be first through the door for a fun night out, come along to the private view this Friday evening from 6pm.

After that the shop will be open this Saturday and Sunday, 24th & 25th November and next weekend too.

Here are all the details.

Place: White Stuff, 89 George Street, Edinburgh

Date & Time: Private view - Friday 23rd November, 6pm - 8pm

Saturday & Sunday, 24th & 25th November 11am - 6pm

Saturday & Sunday, 1st & 2nd December 11am - 6pm

I know that the sellers will be looking forward to talking you through their ranges and helping you find the perfect gift - as will I! I’m so proud to be a part of this event and embrace slow shopping and handmade.

If you want to do the same and do Christmas a bit differently, I’ll see you there.
